London – The 50 Top World Artisan Pizza Chains 2024 ranking, compiled by 50 Top Pizza, the global industry guide created and curated by Barbara Guerra, Albert Sapere, and Luciano Pignataro, was presented in London during the European Pizza Show and the World Pizza Summit 2024. For the second year in a row, Grosso Napoletano has been named the best artisan pizza chain in the world. Founded in 2017, it brought Neapolitan-style pizza to Spain, first to Madrid and then to Barcelona, Seville, Zaragoza, and other cities across the Iberian Peninsula. The second spot goes to Da Michele, located in the heart of Forcella, Naples, for 150 years, now with over 60 locations across multiple continents. In third place is Big Mamma Group, born out of a love for Italy by two French entrepreneurs, Victor Lugger and Tigrane Seydoux, which now boasts numerous locations in France, Spain, the UK, and Germany. Fourth place goes to Bráz Pizzaria, a Brazilian chain famous for its large, crispy pizzas baked in a wood-fired oven. In fifth place is Luigia, with outlets in Switzerland and Dubai. Sixth place goes to Berberè, founded by the Aloe brothers in Castel Maggiore, near Bologna, which has expanded to London after opening about ten locations in Rome, Florence, Turin, and Milan. Seventh place is Pizza Pilgrims, a benchmark for Neapolitan pizza in the UK. Eighth place is 400 Gradi, with outlets in Melbourne and Dallas, founded by Johnny Di Francesco. In ninth place is Eataly, with outlets across Italy and the rest of the world. Tenth place goes to Pizzium, which has surpassed 50 openings in Italy in recent months, all under direct management.
